Back to Work, after a couple days off. I am so very fortunate to work for an incredible health care facility in metro-Detroit. I have a wonderful job, with wonderful hours, that allow me to direct much efforts into the Shrine. One of my biggest challenges this year is to prove to the membership, that a Noble can be an effective leader and still be employed. For the first time in five years, our Board of Directors consists of more employed members than retired (4 to 3). I feel it is imperative to allow members the opportunity to provide leadership, if they are still employed.

Anyway, after work, I go home, change, and visit one of our Senior Nobles, Ray Hillmer and and his lady Jeanne, in Dearborn (about 30 miles from home). Following a very nice visit, I attend the first meeting of the Taylor Shrine Club (about 45 miles from home). There were about 15 Nobles in attendance, and Noble Marty Sheedy took over as President. What a wonderful story Noble Marty Sheedy has turned out to be, more on him in the future, suffice it to say the Imperial Potentate created a special category of appointments, "The Imperial Ambassador" and Noble Marty was the very first appointment.
