1st Week - WOW!!!!!!

Wow, that is all I can say. One week into the official 2010 Shrine Year. I do not know how to describe the thrill, excitement and awe I have felt this entire week. However, I am going to try, that is the reason for this Blog.

The most repetitive questions I have been asked in the last 4 years tend to inquire about how does it feel to be on the Divan (Board of Directors), how much time is involved, what is the financial burden on the Board members, how can I do it and work for a living, and many other similar topics.

Although we have multiple modes of communicating information to our members, which have increased by volumes the last several years, I look forward to this blog, which will by my first hand account throughout the next 12 months.

My goal, by keeping a "personal" journal, is to share, with the Nobility, the information that does not receive usual attention. I am devoted to maintaining this blog continuously, no matter where I find myself and to also relay general information about the Shriners, whether it is the Fraternal or Philanthropy.

I am looking for this blog to be another step for me to the path of continuing light, and will allow me to better understand and provide a review of this year.

I hope you enjoy this trip, as I will, I am looking forward to the ensuing year, including several new ideas, updating annual traditions, and always providing the top quality of care to our children at the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
