Tuesday July 13, 2010

Back to work. I spent Monday evening at the Shrine Center with a 2 1/2 hour presentation on our commercial enterprise. We are ecstatic over the long term planning for our commercial building, we have great people who are dedicated to its success.

We also had a preliminary meeting for the Sportsman's Raffle, which I was not able to attend but spoke to several Nobles afterward with some positive comments on the upcoming fundraiser.

I got home around 10:30 P.M., and since Carrie is up north for work, went to sleep with a very, very, active kitty named Mays.

Tuesday: I just finished the Financial Advisory Committee meeting and then had a brief meeting to discuss the Annual Ceremonial of the Great Lakes Shrine Association. This event will be held in Rockford, IL at the end of September and we are attempting to offer the Units the information to see whether they want to attend and compete.

The Highlanders are meeting, and I believe getting ready for the Farmington parade this weekend.

I am heading home around 7:30 to watch the beginning of the All Star Game (Go American League). I am bummed over the surge the White Sox have had in the last month, disappointed that they are in first place. The Tigers are going to have to come out fighting for the rest of the season. If they have the determination, this should be a division race worthy of some of the greater fights in recent years. I am ready, Go Tigers.
