Thursday May 27

I am having a great week. It started out at the Shrine Center Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, however, I took the rest of this week off for personal enjoyment. I turned 40 yesterday. My mom called me at 7:28 A.M. to wish me a Happy Birthday and stated that she called me exactly 40 years to the minute of when I blessed her life by making her a mother. What a great moment.

My beautiful, lovely and talented bride made me my two pies, and they were delicious (actually still are). We went out to dinner last night with my sister (her sig.other) and my brother. They gave me an Amazon Kindle for a gift, which replaces one that broke over a year ago. How can one not be in heaven.

I feel really good right now. I just found that Kwame Kilpatrick will be 40 next week, so we are both Geminis. I would like to think that he reflects one nature of the mighty Gemini twins, and I the other. I may not have accomplished all he has, but I think that in the end I may have chosen more wisely.

Carrie and I will be having dinner tonight with some of our Pote's Ball team to finalize the details of the event, which is shaping up to be a very nice party.

Have I mentioned that this year is going by soooooooo fast. I hope that Carrie is enjoying it as much as I am, this has been such a phenomenol year. Thankfully, the majority of the events for the rest of the year are in the planning stages, with some of the most competent, efficient chairman in the Shrine presiding over the details. I think that my job at this point is to assist in our transition to a corrected path, a path that my successors will be proud to follow.

For now, I am enjoying this ride and am looking forward to the parades this weekend.

Much Love to all my family, friends and supporters who have stuck by me and choices in life.
